Fun fact: Claire Cayot is named after an interesting lady from my hometown. The real Claire lived to be 111, and she was the first woman to hold public office in California! Cool! She was also the oldest of 7 children. I don't know if my Claire will have that many siblings, but there will be quite a few more Cayot kids showing up soon...

Gotta love that feeling you can only get at the beginning of a story, when you’re still waiting for all the characters from the cover illustration, and you get all excited every time another one pops up (I like Claire, by the way)
