The creatures remind me so much of “call of Cthulhu” by H.P Lovecraft and the cults that waited for the “ancient ones” that ruled the earth, but slept while the humans believed they where the rulers , until the creatures awakened and destroyed the earth. And the tentacled creature in panel three looks like Cthulhu’s tentacled face…
