Exactly! I mean I’ve gotten some pets over the years that were, uh…not the best idea, let’s say…but at least I never got anything with HANDS. That’s just asking for bad things to happen.
No no. She has been right. She said she hates lies, and not everyone does as many do prefer polite lies. But everyone does hate a pendant. And that is in the casual way. Not 100% as such, but nearly all. However, naming your Amazonian monkey with an Indian name is kind of asking for it, even in the early 20th century.
I find people who don’t do at least a *little* polite social lying a bit frightening, honestly…and Lavinia loves being frightening, so I guess she’d be happy to know she’d scare me!
